The City Of Demora

Not long ago Demora was a utopian community, ran by the great elf Tirondrious (tie ron drE us). His wisdom and his magic allowed him to rule the land with an iron fist and a gentle hand. All was well in Demora until one day a man calling himself Draak had entered the city. Everyone sensed a strong evil around him, making him very disliked. Tirondrious made the mistake of keeping a close eye on him. One day Tirondrious was spying on Draak in person, but a terrible event took place. From behind the city’s beloved ruler a strange creature quickly attacked! But it had been too slow. Tirondrious had quickly turned and had slain the beast with a powerful wave of fire. But when he looked back to find Draak, he came to a sad realization. Draak was not there...he had soon realized that Draak had never truly been there. All along Draak had been behind him. Tirondrious turned back once again to face his foe, but it was already too late. Tirondrious fell to the ground with a strange burn mark on his chest. He fell to the ground, concluding his reign over Demora.

With out the king or his magic Demora began to wither. Draak was suspected and exiled to what the people thought was the most horrible of all places. Arrogath… The Land of the Dragons. But even with Draak gone the city plummeted into agony, even to the point where crime death and murder took place every day. It would seem that the sound of this chaos would drive anyone away, but there was an evil magic that attracted new people, from many places, to this ruined City...

Ch1: New Judgment

200 years after the death of the now forgotten king, two small dark spots could be seen from the tops of sky scraper antenna. No one paid much attention to them, mostly because they were still barely visible. However, every day the spots grew larger and larger until they could be seen at any point in Demora. All of the citizens had stopped what they were doing, and gathered around the large buildings. Once most of the city’s residents had gathered around this anomaly, great beams of dark energy shot out from both of the dark orbs like lightning. They crashed against each other crating a rip in dimensions. People were entranced by the dim red glow emitting from the huge flat surface of the rip. Something broke from the surface. Its Scaled body, and enormous claws struck fear in to the harts of the Demoran people. Standing in the midst of the crowed was a Humanoid Dragon, towering over the people of Demora. “Could it be? Does this creature come from the land of Arrogath?” This statement made by an intelligent science professor caused the multitude to chatter. The sound of everyone speaking all at once was almost unbearable. They were all so involved in there conversations they almost forgot what was happening. “SILENCE!” the dragon yelled with a voice that seemed the shake the earth itself. Everyone fell silent within that second. “This city, this once great city... Many may have forgotten its legacy, but this land was once covered with magic… Ever since the king of this land took his own life, the city has fallen deeper then ever before. I come to restore that greatness this city once possessed. I have come to restore order to this land!” the dragon opened his hand and many colored orbs shot out. It rained color onto the citizens of Demora, all of them absorbed by random people in the crowed. Four large orbs had also shot out from behind the dragon. They hovered in the air for a few seconds then shot at their victims.

The orbs rushed threw the air, shooting in to four people who had barely met each other. The reaction of these larger orbs being absorbed by those innocent observers knocked them all to the ground. A man by the name of Jacob slowly used his tall and lanky body to arise, and allow himself to contemplate what had just happened. His eyes were glowing a dark cyan, and his short brown hair was slightly ruffled from his fall. “Cindy?” He called, waiting for his new friend to answer. The woman who was called for got up as well. She was long and slender but not nearly as much as Jacob. Her eyes were glowing red complementing her long brown hair, and her sleek female features. “Jacob, where are the others?” She questioned. “I am here and, accounted for” Bry answered. His Broad figured body lifted itself back to a normal position. His short blond hair and his glowing Maroon eyes made him look like some kind of god. “I guess I am here too” Riku added, brushing the dirt off of her slender body. Her Long blond hair was only complimented by her gleaming purple eyes. “Thank goodness you guys are alright. I wouldn’t want to loose my new best friends, now would I?” Cindy exclaimed. By this time everyone was chattering again, all of them wondering why their eyes glowed, and why the feeling of true power felt so short. “SILENCE!” once again the crowd fell silent. “This is Grannis, He will be your new ruler. Accept him or face death” The Dragon knelt down placing a well built man on the ground. “Thank you Draconous” he said. “And greetings to the people of Demora. As my friend Draconous said, I am Grannis. I will bring this city back to its formal glory. If you do not follow my will, I am not afraid to use other… old-fashioned ways to make you do as you are told. So as my first matter of business, I will need a place of residence… fit for a king. How do you all feel about old castle architecture?

Ch2: The Castle

“It is a grand design, it is almost as great as the building I lived in before. Ah the city of Keltholas is a beautiful city indeed” Grannis said to the head architect “but I thought that Arrogath was a dark and, demented land” The architect replied. “It is… Keltholas is a city protected from the darkness. It’s where all of the high authority live. In fact there are only four humans who actually live in Arrogath to day. There are two paladins and two dark warriors. The paladins live in Keltholas, but the dark warriors live in the Dark castle of Korabane. There is a large dispute between the two forces, with many brutal wars” “Did the dark warriors dement the land?” “Yes, indeed. They have made Arrogath what it is today. Anyways, we better get back to work” “Ay sir!”

After long weeks of construction, the castle for Grannis was finally complete. A meeting was held immediately after it was done. “Good evening every one, and welcome to the castle! I am very pleased with the work you all have preformed. Tonight I would like to take care of one matter of business. As you know, I am here to help bring Demora back to its once great status. So in order for me to do that I must first declare my laws and have the protectors of that law to enforce it. That is what I want to take care of…”The lights suddenly shut off and, the room with pitch black. “Lights please.” Several beams of light shown down on twenty individuals. “Will the people basking in light please join me on the stage.” Twenty men walked up to the stage awaiting their fate. They were some of the most muscular men anyone there had ever seen. “You men are my protectors of the law do your job well and you will be rewarded.” A bright light shined at the top of the room leaving everyone in pure aw. Pieces of armor came from the light like it was a portal, and the armor immediately strapped its self to the twenty men. Large war hammers followed the armor equipping themselves to the men. Large, white, feathered, wings sprouted from the men’s back and, there look was finally complete. The audience watched in astonishment as the men stood there in fully clad, golden armor, wings like an angle and, hammers that glowed a dim yellow light. “Take a good look my people. These are the men who will enforce the law and, give a just consequence to any wrong action. These.. Are my Paladins! Do not be jealous my people, some others of you have special gifts also.” He scanned the room as if he were looking for something… or someone. “But the probability of that is very low. Please don’t get your hopes up, for you will be greatly disappointed when you do not receive one of these gifts, but without further ado you are dismissed. Everyone but my paladins may go to their homes and sleep. Lets hope for a better tomorrow for this city. The city… of Demora”

Ch 3: An Evil Deed

Grannis’s prediction had been wrong. The City was pulsing with power and, even more destruction was caused then before he even came. People had made the mistake of experimenting with the powers discovered. Causing mayhem all around the city and making the paladins first day the worst. Of coarse they weren’t going to stand by and let the city be destroyed. They had an important duty as divine protectors of the city. They had no choice but to lock up the Criminals who were innocently trying out there newly found powers, and blowing stuff up in the trial phase, but that was enough to send them to jail. As the sun set the last prison cell was locked. The streets were empty with a dead silence. Everyone was either in jail, powerless, or just smart. Jacob Cindy Bry and Riku had been looking for a suitable apartment ever since the arrival of Grannis. For weeks they had been finding old beds and soft surface to pass the night. But on the night of the meeting they had found an apartment with four beds and one bathroom. It was there they decided to stay. On the day of the destruction the four of them were unpacking and making themselves at home. Luckily none of the Experimenters got close to the apartment because it was only a block away from Grannis’s castle. After the tension of the paladins had died down, a super thief burst into action. He called himself gear, mostly because he could change his appendages into machinery. With wheels for feet and machine guns for arms, Gear was on top of the world. After a big robbing he would hide in a not very noticeable ally way, where he would sore his cash and plan for the next big theft.

One day Jacob and Cindy were walking to a store when Jacob decided to take a short cut... “Hey Cindy, bet you if we go down this ally we can get to demo-mart quicker” Jacob stated. “Oh common Jacob! You know that going down suspicious ally ways can never be good” Cindy protested. “Common Cindy it will be fun!” Cyclone grabbed her hand and dragged her into the ally. As they were walking down it they found a man sitting on a large brown bag. “Well well… Look what we have here, Two defenseless strangers. I bet your rich” he said as the silhouette of his hand grew into a large gun shape. “I’d ask for you to hand it over but death is a much more fun game….” Jacob was hit in a wave a panic and screamed “CINDY RUN” but Cindy didn’t budge. In fact, Jacob was the only one who took off running. He ran fast too, he watched in amazement as buildings wizzed past him a blur of color. Cindy on the other hand clenched her fists. Jacob had made a distraction long enough for Cindy to knock the gun’s aim away from her chest. She made a fist and went for the man’s face. The ally glowed with a flickering red light. Cindy stared at her hand that was still engulfed in fire. The man got back up with a slighty burnt face. “Your gonna pay for that freak!” he muttered. But before he could get up completely Cindy kicked him leaving a burnt mark on his chest. She walked up to him forgetting that her hand, and her foot were still on fire. Her foot touched a bag of money and it burst into flames. At the sight of the burning money, Cindy took of towards home, trying to extinguish her hand and, foot. A patrolling paladin saw smoke coming from an ally way and went to investigate. He found gear unconscious lying by a pile of burning money. Gear was brought to a special prison cell where he would never be seen again.

Ch 4: more discoveries

Jacob was too amazed too go directly home. He couldn’t go home just yet. He was having so much fun he completely forgot about what had just happened… until he saw an angry looking Cindy... His face met Cindy’s foot which sent him flying in the air. Cindy quickly reached down and grabbed Jacob by the collar of his shirt . “JERK!” she screamed as she pulled him back to his feet. “At the first sign of danger you took off running!” Cindy raged, “But, Cindy!” Jacob replied still gagging. “Didn’t you see what I can do? I can run faster then any man on the earth” “That doesn’t give you an excuse for leaving me with that man. He could have killed me!” Cindy bellowed, “But, he didn’t…” “What happened?” Jacob asked. “Well, I discovered my own little thing.” At that, Cindy’s hand burst into flame engulfing it completely. “Whoa, that’s pretty cool” Jacob said while staring at Cindy’s hand. “My feet can do it too” Cindy replied. “That’s interesting… let’s go tell Bry and, Riku!” As Jacob and Cindy walked towards the apartment they could hear the voice of Bry saying rock… Rock…. ROCK!!! Quickly they rushed over to see what was going on. Once they rounded the corner they saw Bry holding an enormous bolder. They also noticed his arms were missing… *THUD* Bry had set the bolder down on the sidewalk. When he stepped back it looked like part of the rock was still attached to him… It was him. “Bry! Is your hand a rock?” Cindy gasped. “Hey, guys” he replied. “No my hand is not a… rock…” Bry said noticing his hand for the first time. “Well I saw this bolder in the middle of the street, and I thought that it would be a big road hazard. So I tried to move it. When I failed to do nothing I started to think rock…. Rock…. ROCK! And suddenly it started lifting off the ground, I lifted the bolder over my head. Isn’t that cool?” Bry remarked. “Yeah, that’s way cool! But I’m afraid that you didn’t think rock… you sort of, shouted it…” Jacob replied “oh…” Bry said blushing. As soon as the color hit his face his hands turned back into human hands. “Jacob and I have powers too.” Cindy” exclaimed. “Yeah, awesome powers” Jacob said smiling. So Jacob and Cindy explained what had happened to them when they discovered their powers, then they gave brief demonstration of them. As Jacob was finishing his demonstration (running circles around Bry) Riku walk over near by them, And pointed something at the quick moving Jacob. A purple light flashed directly at Jacob, blinding him and sending him bolting straight into a wall. She stared at the device carefully. “Yes it works!” she announced. “What’s that Riku?” Cindy asked, “It’s a scanner, Cindy” Riku replied. “Like the ones they use in groceries stores?” Jacob asked, still dazed from his visit with the wall. “It’s not quite like that” Riku said “it’s more like an information collection device. It scans something and then records it into its memory. It gives a picture, status, and I can even add notes. “Sweet, Can we take my groceries home now?” Jacob muttered. “Yeah sure… lets go home Jacob” Riku said looking very confused at Jacob . “Yeah let’s all go home, its getting late.” Cindy said. So the four companions started home. Cindy told Riku what had happened to her, Jacob, and Bry. Bry made sure Jacob didn’t run into anything else on his way home. The heroes went to bed as soon as they got home, because it had gotten late. They innocently lied in their beds not knowing their profound destiny.

Ch: 5 A destiny

Morning broke at the Demora Inn, and the four companions awoke around the same time and started to get ready. “I’m hungry” said Jacob. He hadn’t eaten anything since the turkey he had at ten o’clock the night before. “Ill make you something” said Cindy as she ran into the kitchen with a grin on her face, “one burnt breakfast coming up” she said to herself as she pulled out some eggs. One minute later Cindy came out with perfectly cooked food on a plate and a look of amazement on her face. She gave it to Jacob and watched closely, her look of amazement had faded into a great big smile. Closer and closer the nicely cooked meal came to Jacob’s lips, then finally he took a bite. “Bleah” Jacob yelled as he spat out the food. The eggs Cindy had cooked where burnt in the middle. Cindy bursted out in laughter, Jacob looked at Cindy in anger but his anger faded when she gave him a plate with real perfectly cooked food on it. “I’m sorry, I just had to do that. It was too fun to pass up” she said, “but really I was surprised on how well I could cook, before I burnt everything, but now I know all of the secrets of cooking”. Riku was fiddling with some equipment and Bry was making himself some burnt bacon. “This is going to be gooooood!” exclaimed Bry. He cooked it enough so it was completely black. He picked up a piece and shoved it in his mouth. “Mmmmm” he whispered then ate some more.

Once everybody was done getting ready, they went to the park. “Hello Sir, may we test our powers here if we don’t hurt any one?” said Riku, “just don’t cause any trouble, and don’t draw too much attention or else you’ll regret it” said the paladin. “Thank you Sir”, the four went their separate ways in the deserted part of the town park to test their powers. Cindy found a way to shoot fire from her hand, Riku went to the library, And Bry figured out how to make stone objects. Cindy, Bry, and Riku returned to the middle of the park. Riku said, “I read all of the books in the library, hey what do you get when you cr...”

“Where’s Jacob” Cindy said before Riku could finish. All of a sudden, Jacob came running back with great speed. He looked like he had seen a ghost, “I saw a ghost” Jacob said in fright. “He looked Elvish”. “Did he sing you a song” said Cindy chuckling under her breath. “No" Jacob said clearly unamused "I wandered off because I had never explored the park before. I was just walking around when the wind started to act really weird. I think it was saying cyycllone, but I knew that wind couldn’t talk so I continued on. Just then this weird looking ghost guy appeared right in front of me. He said, “Cyclone” but I didn't know what he was talking about. He said it twice more and then added, “Your new name is Cyclone. You are chosen along with your three friends, now return to them and tell them to go to the middle of the park”. So I ran trying to find you and now here we are”. “Why the middle?” Cindy asked. “Well I don’t know” said Cyclone. All of a sudden a portal opened below them, and they were sucked in.

Cyclone awoke first, “where am I” said cyclone as he opened his eyes. He looked around and saw that he was in a big field. he examined his surroundings closer and saw a tiny figure getting bigger with a burning city behind it. Everybody else woke up and saw that a figure was drawing near. They could start to make out features, “I think it’s a he and its humanoid” said Cindy. “I think he’s an elf” said Riku. Then Bry said “what ever it is its coming closer. They all got into attack poses and watched the elf come closer. “Do not be afraid, I come in peace” said the elf` “you four have been chosen to be the heroes of our city and your own, you are not strong enough to take on the enemys that attacked our city, but when the time is right you will return here before our city was destroyed. Allow me to present you with these” he threw swords and belts at the now known heroes. “Now return to your land” the heroes put their belts on and gazed at their new swords, out of nowhere strange out fits appeared on the heroes and they were warped off.

A portal opened up in the ground in the middle of the park and the heroes where shot out. They found themselfs in the park, but something was different. It was much gloomier, and There were black clouds all around. Buildings were on fire with thick black smoke rising from them.

"Oh wow, what happened here” said Riku “Yeah, I think we better investigate” replied Cyclone. So the heroes split up and started looking around. They met in the city and stared at a Black Knight destroying everything in the city with his long sword. “LET’S GO!” yelled Cyclone. They all ran did front flips, drew swords, and got in attacking position. Cyclone leapt into action doing a front flip over the knight knocking him on the head with his sword while the knight was looking away. Next Riku ran for him calculating the swings of his sword so she could dodge them while advancing. Cindy stepped backwards into Bry’s hands. Her eyes opened wide as Bry threw her towards the knight. She flew through the sky heading for the knight when she realized some buttons on her sword. She aimed it at the knight and pressed one of the buttons, her sword shot out in segments and was heading for the knight.

*Chlink* “uhh” The sword had impaled the knight. At that moment Riku finally made it to him and jump kicked him to the floor, Cindy pushed another button and the sword retracted pulling her (still in the air) towards the knight. “UHHHH!” the knight yelled. Then Bry leapt into the air. AHHHH! Cindy yelled as she pulled her sword out and ran away from the body. Bry turned himself to rock and *SPLAT* the knight was crushed. A voice coming from an unknow place said "Well done heroes". Suddenly everything went back to the way it had been before. The buildings were no longer on fire, the knight was gone, and the back clouds had dissappeared. The four heros went back home confused and sleepy.

Ch6: A Story By Four Standards

Part 1

The next morning Cyclone woke up to find the rest of the group still asleep, he made himself breakfast and walked out the door. Cyclone walked slowly down the dusty street that had been littered by the filthy scum of the city... That’s right, bikers. They think that there really tough with their nice leather jackets and there expensive motorcycles. “The FILTH of the world” Cyclone said as he approached a tall building. When he got there he noticed the door had been covered with trash, it was completely covered with no way in. there was a message on the wall in red paint saying “this is what happens if you try to make us stop!” Cyclone squinted his eyes and muttered “bikers” then he ripped through the garbage using amazing speed and soon the trash was gone. Cyclone walked inside and went up a flight of stairs. “The boss is waiting for you in his office” said the assistant as Cyclone walked the rest of the way up the stairs. Cyclone nodded and went in, “Cyclone is your name isn’t it” said the boss. The boss was a large man, especially around the waist. There were several boxes of Twinkies on his desk, all of them empty. “Umrt... yes sir is there something wrong with that?” replied Cyclone. “No I just thought it was a funny name, a funny name for a funny looking guy. Tell me why I should hire a funny looking man like you”. “Well I’m very skilled and I have several degrees in several different subjects and I...” before Cyclone could say anything else the boss interrupted him “WAIT I don’t care how skilled you are! I like to think of this landscaping business as a family. So all I’m asking is that you get along with all of the other employees. Oh and you have to do work. HAHAHA or else this wouldn’t be a job HAHAHA….. Oh I crack myself up” the boss stood up and said “you're hired!” “YES!!!!” Cyclone shouted and ran out the door.

Cyclone stood frozen in unbelief, all of the garbage was gone and there was an imprint of a large man indented in the street with deep foot steps heading away from it, and so Cyclone decided to follow the foot steps. He followed them until they stopped at a lake, Cyclone searched everywhere around the lake and he couldn’t find a thing. Then he realized “hmm how about underwater.” Sure enough Cyclone found an under water cave and went in….

Part 2

Cindy woke up to the door closing, “huh?” she said to herself. She looked around the bedroom and saw that cyclone was gone. She looked at the time and walked to the kitchen, and grabbed herself some food and sprinted out the door. She ran through the trash that had been left by the bikers. She mumbled to herself “those dumb…..” By now she reached her final Destination. “Finally” she said as she glared at the golden building in front of her. She quickly ran in the doors. “It’s nice to see you again Miss Cindy, what are you here for now” Said a woman. “This time I’m actually here to apply”. Wow that’s surprising, Big Red thought that you where only going to give us tips to where crimes are happening”…….. Cindy had been going to the gold building, or in other words Gold Line News, she had been giving the owner Big Red tips and information about any news she could get to before them. She was good at getting there first because she always had a sense to where danger lies…. “Well I would be happy to hire you, but I must ask why? You have always been a competitor to us but yet you're always a friend” said Big Red. “Well I feel like I need a job just incase I don’t find what I need… kind of like a safety item. It’s not just me I’m providing for, so if I slip up… so do my room mates” Cindy said. “Well I guess you’re hired, you’ll start tomorrow” Big Red replied. “Thanks sir” Cindy said as she walked out Big Red’s office. “YYEEEEESSSS!” Cindy shouted as she ran out the door to the building. But her joy was quickly changed to confusion and the smile was quickly wiped off her face. All of the trash that was littering the streets was now gone. There was also a trail of deep foot steps imbedded in the street. Cindy got curious and began to follow them, after a little bit she found herself at a lake. The footsteps ended there, hmmm she dove into the lake and found a cave. while she was swimming towards it she started to feel very sick. But she reached the cave and went in……….

Part 3

Bright lights suddenly flash on. Bry quickly covers his eyes. A man in a yellow jumpsuit walks towards Bry. “You can uncover your eyes now” said the man. “Where am I?” Bry asked. “You’re in Lastaria!” said the man. “Oh….” Bry said. That’s when Bry woke up. He got up and looked around the room and saw that Cyclone and Cindy had already left. “ugg… stupid game dream.” He said to himself. He looked at the clock and realized that he was late for work. He grabbed a raw egg, and ate it whole. Then he walked out the door without even closing it. When he got outside he saw that small parts of garbage had be disappeared, and there was no biker in sight. He went up to one of the places that did not have garbage, and examined it very carefully. They where perfectly round circles about the radius of 3 feet. It was especially clean also, not a speck of dirt could be spotted. “Wow” Bry said as he stared at the perfect circle. Just then a man dressed in all white came hovering by. “ANOTHER ONE!!!” he shouted as he saw Bry. “ANOTHER WHAT???” Bry said in said in confusion. “you bikers are so filthy and I’m here to be rid of you.” Said the man. “What! I’m not a biker!” Bry protested. “Oh you’re all the same, first littering and looting then when anyone questioned your actions you deny it. And I think you know what is going to happen next. You will soon fade from existence.” Said the man. The man shot a pure white beam at the ground, and all of the filth within a 3 foot radius disappeared. It just vanished into thin air. A rat that had been at that spot had vanished like the garbage. Then the man pointed at Bry and fired at Bry. Bry quickly turned his hand to stone and blocked the shot. He was not harmed although the blast had forced his hand into his face. He flew backwards hitting a wall, it was then he realized he had to run. He turned his body into stone and took off down a random street. The man followed him keeping right at his tail shooting at him but always missing. Finally after passing several blocks he found himself approaching a lake. He thought the man might leave him alone if he leapt into the lake. Suddenly the man stopped in his tracks and started flying up in the air. Bry proceeded to the lake just incase. The man stopped and started to glow, vomp! A white wave burst out from the man. Bry, unknowing had reached the lake and started to jump in. the wave hit him shooting him into the lake. He shot through the water being blasted into an underwater cave. The man quickly followed him…

part 4

Riku woke up to a cold breeze blowing in her face. She got up in shock realizing that the door had been left open. She looked around the room sighing. Once again she was alone. She is a very beautiful but she really couldn’t get along with people or have an intelligent conversation with anyone. It was particularly hard in her work place. Her conversations would go like this. With Guys: him: “hi” Riku: “hi” him: “your hot…. *SMACK*. With Girls: her: “You’re hogging all the guys and you really need to stop. *SMACK*. So it seemed that any one she talked to got smacked because they bugged her. It was a bad habit she picked up when she was young. She thought to herself “I wonder if they hate me like everybody else. She went to the kitchen and grabbed herself a Twinkie. Then she ripped open the package and shoved it in her mouth. “I guess I better go to work now” she said to her self as she walked out the door. When she got out she saw a big gray thing being chased by a skinny white thing. Without thinking she started running towards them to see what was happening. Suddenly riku saw the man fly up in the air and start to glow. The next thing she knew was that she was on the ground. She got up and saw the white thing go in the lake. She quickly followed. When she got to the lake she dove in. Then she found a under water cave and swam in.

Part 5

Bry awoke to find him self under his friends. They lie unconscious on his cracked rock body. He saw that the entrance was about 20 feet above him, no wonder his friends where unconscious on him. It was pretty dry in the cave, the only thing wet was the heroes which had just traveled through water “how is this possible” he thought to him self. He looked back at the entrance and noticed that the water stopped at a point. “Weird…” he thought. Cyclone soon got up and then the others. “What happened?” Cyclone inquired. Bry shared his story telling them about the man in white. They got up and looked around the cave. It wasn’t really a cave it was more like a room. Not before too long they found a door and went through. They found themselves in a semi lit room. They closed the door and heard it lock. “Shoot, if I’ve played enough Zelda games then I know what’s going to happen next,” said Bry as he drew his sword. Luckily they had been wearing there belts. They all drew their swords and morphed into the outfits that had come with their belts. They walked to the middle of the room and waited for their challenge. Water started to drip from the ceiling, they could see steam rising as the water hit the ground. This water was hot and would burn to the touch. The water started dripping faster until it was poring in streams. The water however wasn’t spreading like most water does. Instead it was forming four creatures. The heroes readied themselves for battle. The creatures finally formed and started to attack. The first one threw its self toward the group and missed but it distracted them from the other three that where soon to come. Cyclone heard the boiling water behind him and quickly grabbed everyone throwing them away from the flying monstrosities. Bry got up and ran towards one of the creatures. He turned his hand to rock and went for a punch. *sploosh* the creature’s middle was blasted away by Bry’s rocky fist, but quickly the water came back to its owner. “Wah!” Bry said in amazement. Not only did his attack do nothing but his rock hand started to crack. Then the creature punched Bry throwing him in into the wall. Riku ran around the room observing the battle. Cyclone ran around the room distracting the creatures while Cindy got up and started attacking with her sword and flaming the creatures. Riku saw that when Cindy flamed the creatures they steamed. “Cindy! You have to flame the creatures” Riku yelled. Cindy started flaming the creatures as directed. She focused on one of them and blasted away. The creature evaporated and went threw the ceiling. She did the same to the rest of them. Once she evaporated the last one, they heard the click of the two doors unlocking. They went to the door but four orbs came out of the ceiling where the water had been. Cyan, red, dark red, and purple. The orbs shot into them. Cindy raised her sword ant it got engulfed in fire. Cyclone swung his sword horizontally and a gush of wind went flying in that direction. Bry swung his sword at the ground causing the ground to shake and making an indent where it hit. Riku swung her sword and whatever was lighting the room went out. “AHHHHHHH where going to die!” Cyclone yelled. “CHILL!” yelled Cindy as she re engulfed her sword lighting the room with a red glow. She led everyone to the door. They went through it and found themselves in a round room with holes in the top. Once again they walked into the center of the room. Just then large bubbles shot out of the holes in the top. “Great…. Bubbles of death have come to cleans us of heroics” Riku said. The bubbles then started to attack them. They went slowly but they felt indestructible. “Is this supposed to harm us” Riku said as she was being pushed by a bubble. “This will be the easiest battle we ever fought” Cyclone said. “It’s only the third battle we have fought,” Bry remarked. Cyclone took out his sword and poked one of the bubbles. “it didn’t pop?” Cyclone said surprised. It didn’t pop, infect the bubble along with the others backed off and grew spikes. “Fudge!” they said in unison. Cindy engulfed her sword and swung at one of the bubbles. It seared through the bubble cutting it as in half. It fell to the floor and dissolved. Bry took his sword and swung it at the bubble. It went flying back hitting a wall and popping then dissolving. Cyclone swung his sword in front of a bubble and it went flying to the wall with a gush of wind. *splat* Riku took her sword and swung it at one of the reaming bubbles, suddenly all the bubbles turned dark “shoot” Riku blurted. Then the bubbles popped “huh,” they all said. “O well” Cyclone said as he walked through the door. The others followed shortly after. Now they found them selves in another round room with a whole in the middle of the room. The door closed behind them and vanished. The man in white came out of the hole laughing evilly. With out asking any questions Cyclone started running around the room and then on the wall. He jumped off the wall holding his sword in front of him. Sadly he missed. Cindy jumped over head and shot fire at him. But she missed too. Every one tried to attack him but only ended with failure. Then Riku attacked using her sword she missed but the man suddenly turned purple and shattered to pieces. Everyone looked confused, the only thing that stopped it was the orbs coming from the hole. Quickly they shot into the heroes Cyclone flashed blue and he felt rejuvenated. Cindy clenched her fist and became engulfed with fire completely. Bry turned him self into lava and Riku built a laser. “Ok… this helps me how? Said Riku as she examined the laser. “Well what are we waiting for,” Said Cyclone as he jumped down the hole. “AHHHHHHH!” he said as he fell down. “Idiot, “Cindy said as she jumped down. Riku jumped down and Bry followed. The four found them selves shot out of the water fountain in the park. Sadly all of the bikers had been killed, but all of the garbage was gone. “At least no one else will get hurt” thought the heroes as they went home to rest.

“AHHHHHHH!” Cyclone shouted as he sat up in bed. Everyone woke to see what was wrong. “Who What Where When Why” Bry yelled still half asleep. “What happened” Cindy said coming to comfort cyclone. “Did someone eat too much ice cream before he went to bed” said Riku as she tried to go back to sleep. “There was a voice, a woman’s voice, she talked about four heroes and one will die. I thought it might be one of us.” Cyclone said still shivering in fear. “None of us will die as long as we all have each other” Cindy said trying to insight false hope into Cyclone. “JUST GO BACK TO SLEEP” yelled Bry. So all of the heroes went back to sleep.

Saturday morning came to the apartment. Every one got up and got themselves breakfast. “It happened again” Cyclone said. “Only a bit different, she will show us the way to save the day.” Save the day!?, and who is this woman your talking about” said Cindy jealousy. “I don’t know but I feel we might find out soon.” replied Cyclone. Just then Bry noticed a leaf, quit alive. “What the?” he said as he picked it up. Words where clearly written on it that said “place in water to fulfill your fate” “gimmi that” Cyclone said as he swiped the leaf from Bry’s hand. he got a bowl and filled it with water. “Didn’t you hear, its our fate” Cyclone said defensively. He placed the leaf in the bowl full of water. It spun several times then finally pointed to the door. “I guess we cant change fate” Cindy said as she morphed to her suit and started towards the door. “What!? You cat be serious” Riku said “of coarse I’m serous, now lets go” Cindy said tugging Cyclone along. So the heroes went out side and started following the mysterious leaf. It lead them out of town into the deadly marsh. “I never got it, why do people say this place is so dangerous” said Bry in confusion. “It’s said that this marsh is home to some spiders over 8 feet tall” Riku said. “This might be a bit jinxing but I hope we don’t run into anything here” Cyclone said in fear. Just then five 7 foot spiders crawled out of the ground. “Nice job cyclone” Bry said changing in to his suit and getting ready to fight. So the heroes changed a got ready to fight their deadly foe. “Its only going to get worse from here, we have to go into the spider hole” Cyclone said. “Then lets go” Cindy said. They ran around the spiders trying to strike but coming to the sad realization that there swords weren’t doing anything. They all stopped dead in confusion. “We cat hit them...” Cyclone said. “They must be holograms” Riku replied. ‘Or maybe there ghosts!” Bry said as he grabbed Cyclone from the back. “Don’t do that “Cyclone said in shock. “Stop fooling around guys this is serious; if they are holograms then we have to keep following the leaf.” Cindy said guiding the way. So the heroes followed the leaf and wound up in a wide open plain. They followed the leaf more until Cyclone fell into a hole. “Cyclone where’d you go” Cindy said confused. “Down hereeee” Cyclone said falling. So the heroes jumped down the hole. They found themselves in a technological cave “What is this” Cyclone said as they went threw what they thought was a path. “No they can not be here! Not yet!” some unknown voice said. The heroes, (creped out) tried to find the source of the voice. They wound up in a large clear room with a woman covered in wires connected to the walls, and metal strewn about her body. “You have come and one of you will die, fate ensures it” the voice said. “Now die!” The heroes started up without asking any questions. Cyclone ran towards here and sliced one of her large cords. The girl knocked him back. Cindy took a few swipes and was knocked back. The girl was angry now, two of her four large cords had been severed She turned her hands into rocket launchers and fired at Riku, Bry jumped in front of Riku and turned himself to rock. The missiles hit Bry shoving him backward, then Riku jumped on Bry’s shoulders. She jumped off speeding to wards the girl cutting one more of her large cords. She also went behind her back and held her in time for Bry to cut the last cord. Once it was cut the girl said “Fate entitled one of us to death… I didn’t think it was me” as she spoke she slipped away. The four long cords fell to the ground and released four orbs that went immediately into the heroes.

“Fate is a strange thing isn’t it” Cyclone said. “That was a peace of pie” Bry shouted in joy. “Don’t you mean cake” Cindy replied. Bry fell silent.

Just then a woman dressed in a leaf dress came in. “My name is Dryad” she said. “You have pleased me indeed. I have been stuck here in this lady’s dungeon. But since you have saved me I shall repay you.” She reached out her hand which held roll of paper. Cindy walked up and gently took it from Dryad’s hand. “Now I shall go back to my mountain good luck…” and suddenly she was gone. “What’s in the paper” cyclone said rushing up to Cindy. “It’s not what’s in it but what it is” Cindy replied. She opened up the role of paper “It’s a map!” she said, and everyone rushed around her to see the map. “It says that there is a portal in the swamp, and it leads to a castle. It also says that there are four great prizes to whoever destroys the corrupt king” Riku said reading over Cindy’s shoulder. “Then what are we waiting for” said Cyclone in announcing voice. So the heroes found their way out of the spider hole and started looking for the portal. At last they found a large patch of grass with what looked to be a giant arch way made to look like a giant spider. “Probably to scare people off” Riku said. “Well it won’t scare me of” Cyclone said pulling out his sword. He ran for the large patch of grass and took a slash at it. DINGGGGGG! The sword did nothing. “Perhaps this will work” Riku said. She pulled out a Semi large laser rifle and set it on a stand. The nozzle of the gun started spinning and suddenly shot random bullets at the grass shredding it down and stopping before it hit anything else. So the heroes walked in the ring of grass. It was a small clearing with the spider archway in the middle the space beneath the arch way started to glow blue. “Congratulations” echoed a voice coming from the blue. Suddenly a jester jumped out and the blue turned red. “CONGRATULATIONS!” the jester said “you’ve made it this far and found the portal!” he started hovering up. “Why don’t you tell them what they’ve won?” Just then two evil demon dogs jumped out from the red “Death….” They said in their evil voices. Riku grabbed two smaller guns and started to shoot. The hounds flinched but appeared to take no damage. Bry jumped in the air turning himself into rock, and squishing them. “Nice try but we're better then that” Cyclone said “you still have to get past me! Ahahahaha” the Jester Gloated. He took out some metal stars and threw them at Cyclone. Cyclone rushed out of the way, jumped in the air and tried slashing the jester. The jester liquidized himself and made himself solid elsewhere “Ahahaha” he laughed. Riku started shooting but only to watch her lasers fly threw him. Cindy shot fire but only to the same as previous attacks had done. Bry… sat there like a rock. “If we can’t hit this guy physically, then we’ll just have to get rid of him for the time being. Cyclone took step backward and swung his sword releasing a burst of wind. This did hit the jester and made him fly into the portal…

Ch 8: King of blades

“AHHHHH” the jester shouted as he plunged into the portal. The portal then changed from red back to blue. “I think we can go in now” Cyclone said still shocked from his move that actually working. Cyclone stepped in first. “AHHHHH, NO!!!!!” Cyclone screamed after he was in. Cindy in shock jumped in to protect Cyclone when she got in she saw Cyclone was standing in an old castle like room with a blank stare on his face. “What’s the matter Cyclone? Cindy said in confusion. “For a second I thought this was Castlevainia” Cyclone replied “Tell me is my hair white can I take the abilities of monsters and use them for my own good?” Cyclone said paranoid. Just then Bry and Riku stepped in. “What happened” Riku asked “Oh he’s just being trapped in the world of video games again” Cindy responded “Who cares lets just find the king and get our treasure!” Bry said. The heroes ventured off threw the castle in hopes to find something. But there hopes where crushed when they couldn’t find a thing, not even in the throne room. Cyclone sat on the throne. “Loyal subjects! Bring thy great king Cyclone a tall glass lemonade! Or maybe… a plate of whatever kings eat..” Suddenly visions flashed in his minds. Something was seeping out from under the throne something dark but invisible. “WATCH OUT” Cyclone shouted as he jumped out of the throne drawing his sword, and slashed at the bottom of the throne a dark goop was revealed. It had been ready to strike if Cyclone hadn’t jumped up. “Common guys help me kill this thing” Cyclone said but heard no response. He looked around to see that the room was filled with black goops everywhere. They all fell to the ground and started forming castle guards the one under the throne was a giant pet spider with one leg chopped off. “Oh pudding” Cyclone said. Riku immediately reacted and said “cover me wail I set up my laser’. She ran up to the throne and slashed the spider into bits. Cyclone jumped into action and stabbed a guard in the chest then taking a step back and decapitating a guard behind him Bry turned his fists to rock and started punching the guards to the wall. The guards weren’t exactly human so when one died it turned to ashes. blood Cindy shot her sword impaling a guard and then flung the body into another guard killing it as well. “I’m ready Riku yelled” the three other heroes jumped behind her and watch the devastation

Ashes where strewn across the floor. “Well, I guess that did it” said Cyclone with his mouth wide open. The heroes where about to step off the throne, when it launched into the air taking them with it. As they recovered something came out from where the throne had once been. “Seven blades shall never fail” said the thing coming from its hiding place “Many have come to kill me, few have gotten past my guards, none have survived” “The king” Cindy said marveling at his appearance. “He’s amazing” Riku said “he’s a midget” blurted out Bry.

“Now you shall face the might of…THE KING OF BLADES!”

Just then seven swords shot out from where the king had come. The heroes quickly got up and drew their swords. The sword where now hovering around the king at his command. The king made the first move throwing one of his swords at Riku. She dodged and lunged for him only to miss. Bry jumped up and swung at the kind but was parried. Cindy shot fire at the king making him block with all seven of his swords. So cyclone rushed behind him giving him a wind slash from behind. The king (being so small) flew into a wall. “How dare you! He said in anger.

He jumped up in the air and started hovering. His swords were flying randomly around him. One sword flew out of the orbit and hit Cyclone with its hilt. Cyclone fell to the ground and lost consciousness “NO!” Cindy said as she shot her sword at the king. But to her surprise it only wrapped around one of the swords. Acting quickly she whipped her sword causing the other sword to stick in the ceiling. Bry then tried his jump again only this time hitting the parrying sword into the wall with a rock fist. As he fell he turned the rest of himself to rock smashing one more sword. By now the king was completely furious. He flew to Cindy disarming her and the smacking her with the side of his remaining swords. Cindy fell to the ground , unconscious. The king then looked at Bry and started to charge. He swung his swords only to have Bry deflect them with his own. This went on for some time and, Bry was getting tired but the king was not and when it looked like all was lost a purple beam of light came out of nowhere and pierced the king right through where his heart would be if he had one. Then another beam then another. One more shot threw his head sending him to the ground. He dissipated into thin air and his remaining swords fell to the ground. Riku cheered! She ran over to Bry with her newly made rifle still in hand. Just then Cyclone and Cindy woke up to see the swords on the ground and the king nowhere in sight. With out questioning they looked at Riku and knew what happened. Or at least they thought. “I guess seven blades just wasn’t enough” said Cyclone laughing in triumph. Just then the four swords that the king had dropped in his last breaths turned to orbs witch didn’t go into the heroes, instead going to there off hands, then reforming into different swords “Sweet, new weapons” Cindy said in surprise. “THIS is our treasure “Bry said in a some what disgusted voice. “Well its not too bad, I actually kind of like it” Riku said. “Hey guys” Cyclone said pointing at the place where the throne had been. It was glowing now with a yellowish color to it. Being curious the heroes looked down the hole to see a huge room filled with gold. Having this and their new weapons of destruction the heroes found there way back home not having to worry about money until the distant times.

Ch 9: Cursed water!

Cold water started to leek out of an apartment water pipe. It fell right into Cyclone’s face. “BAH!” Cyclone yelled as he woke up in shock. Everyone else woke up in reflex to see what had transpired. Cyclone stood up and started lightly hitting the pipe. “stupid, Stupid, STUPID PIPE!” he wasn’t paying attention and hit the pipe with to much force making it rupture. Water went EVERYWHERE and Cyclone went flying towards Bry’s bed, and nearly went threw the wall just above Bry’s head. Everyone was in shock. Cindy weekly said “uhhhh guys…” but she couldn’t finish, and she fell to the flooding floor. The water started to climb up to the beds rising twice as fast now. “CYCLONE! GET CINDY OUT!” Bry screamed as he jumped out the window. ~THUD~ Bry was rock when he hit the cement. Riku grabbed as much as she could and jumped out the window. “CURSED WATER!” Cyclone said as he picked Cindy up and jumped out the window. Just as Cyclone’s feet had cleared the window, the building exploded in water. Water was everywhere. “Wow…” Cyclone said holding an unconscious Cindy. There were unconscious people who had been in the building, and water was lightly spurting from the pipes that did not get blown up. Cindy awoke, and said “What just happened?” Riku studied the wreckage. “I think there was an unusual flow of water going threw the pipes, I think it was controlled by something” she said. “If I didn’t know any better, I’d say someone or something is trying to kill us.” Cyclone said. Bry Sighed “Since we got these powers… EVERYTHNIG is trying to kill us! So much for our home…” Bry said. “We’ll worry about housing later” Riku protested. “Common guys we’ve got to find our attacker!” Bry said. What they didn’t realize is that water was slowly pumping out of a man hole. “Cursed water….” Cyclone muttered. Just then water shot out of the man hole. “I think I make it worse!” Cyclone said in surprise. “I think the best thing to do now is to run!” Riku yelled. The heroes got up and ran from the towering pillar of water only to find that there destination was the lake. With no surprise water shot up from the lake, forming to hand shaped pillars of water. “This can’t be!” Bry said. The water rushed from the lake grabbing the heroes and pulling them in...

The heroes awoke in another under water carven. “Oh… not again…” Bry said “well at least we have some time to rest… I think” Cyclone replied. “Uhhhhhh… what happened?” Cindy said while rubbing her forehead. They all managed to get up “A door… this cant be good…” Riku said while approaching it. Let’s see how to open this thing… she touched an eye centered on the door. It blinked twice and then the door opened. The heroes walked in to find themselves in an empty room with a door at the other end. “This is easy… but then again… its never easy” Cyclone said mysteriously. He ran to the door and poked the eye. Water started poring out from it. “Grrrr, cursed water!” yelled Cyclone. As he said it water shot out of the eye sending Cyclone across the room. “Cyclone!, WATER!” Cindy said in shock. Bry’s feet started turning to rock. Riku took out her sword and stabbed the eye. The water stopped but there was still a there inch pool of water on the floor. The water suddenly started to come together into a floating ball. It then formed into a nasty looking hand with spikes. It swung at Bry hitting him to the wall in rock form. Cindy pulled out her swords and engulfed them with fire. And swung at the hand, steam appeared where the swords hit the water. This didn’t get rid of the hand, instead it made it mad. It hit Cindy to the wall. Riku had taken out her laser by the time the hand turned to her. She rapidly fired at the hand sending steam to the air. The hand gradually got smaller and steam filled the room. Riku stopped firing and wiped sweat off her brow. The room was very hot. Cindy recovered quickly because of this. And so the attack persisted. Cindy was persisting and trying to get rid of the 2ft hand by rapidly swinging her swords at it

Finally the battle was over. The room was hot and full of steam. The heroes went to the door and touched the eye once again, opining the door. They walked in to find a man dressed in white and blue robes. “I see you’ve made it” he said “why are you trying to kill us?” Cyclone said. “Simply because I can, you see… everyone here hates water… and everyone but you Cyclone has a weakness to water. Bry turns to rock, Cindy gets weak to cold water, and Riku’s technology gets shorted. So I figured that the 3 of them would be easy to take out then all I would have left is you Cyclone. In fact, you’re the reason my water comes out the way it dose. Muhahahaha” “Liar! You’re nothing but CURSED WATER!” Cyclone said pulling out his swords and running to the man. Water shot out hitting Cindy, Bry and Riku. Cindy fell to the ground, Bry rocked up and fell over, and Riku’s laser shorted and started shocking her. Cyclone jumped and sliced threw the gushing water to make it stop. He then ran around the man trying to hit him. The man made swords out of water and started attacking cyclone. Cyclone parried the best he could but it just didn’t seem enough no matter how fast Cyclone attacked, the man parried with the same speed. “This battle could go on for hours” Cyclone thought to him self. Suddenly out of nowhere the man stopped and fell to the ground. A rock version of Bry stood behind the man. “Thanks!” Cyclone said as he finished off the man. Orbs came out from the man. “HA just try and catch me!” Cyclone said as he started to run away from the orb. But the orb was faster. It hit him making him stumble to the ground. When Bry’s orb hit him, he de rocked. Cindy’s flew into her and she instantly got up. Riku’s laser stopped shocking her when her orb went in her. Suddenly a hole broke open in the floor revealing lots of metal and other materials. “I bet we could make a new house out of this stuff” Riku said. “Let’s go then” Cindy said. After the heroes got as much materials they could carry they followed a tunnel that was conveniently placed in the hole as well. When the reached the end they found themselves in an empty lot, a HUGE empty lot. When Riku looked around the sight she said “This is where we build…”

Ch 10: Eye of the Storm

The night was filled with the sound of clanking metal, it screamed into nearby factories that had been abandoned for ages. The heroes had successfully crafted one floor out of three to their great design. “Common guys work together!” Riku shouted while investigating a rough sketch of a building plan. Cindy was welding everything into place, Cyclone was making sure everything was correct, and Bry was hauling in the large plates of metal. By noon the next day the heroes had finished their new home. It was much different then their apartment, especially since their apartment had been blown to pieces. This home had everything, an empty garage, an empty library, and many other empty rooms. “Well… Did anyone remember to grab the bag of riches before the blowing up of our umm… magnificent home?” Cyclone asked, hoping for the best. “I sure did” Riku replied pulling a large bag that had apparently fit in her back pocket. “Well then, let’s go shopping!” Cindy said with sarcastic enthusiasm. So the heroes walked over to the market place and traded their gold for various items. Everyone got cars except for Cyclone who vowed to run to work every day. This way he would get anywhere he wanted to go faster than anyone else. So with a dreadful day of shopping, and building, the heroes headed home with a smile and lots of furniture.

After many days of buying and rearranging, their new home was complete. The next morning there was a strange sound in the distance, making the heroes and the citizens (who weren’t that far away) very cautious. The Demoran news reported that there was a large tornado heading towards the middle of town. “Several people have reported eerie sounds coming from the Demoran dry lands. Scientists say that there is a maturing tornado heading strait into our precious city. Our leader, Grannis, is trying to take action by sending researchers to find out more about this anomaly” the reporter had said. The heroes paid no real attention because they were either reading books or trying out the features of their home. Cyclone had been reading a book on auto engineering, but only to be confused at the whole idea. Out side there was shrieking of wind, and the panic was only growing. The news reporter seemed to get tenser as days went by. “This storm is right at our door! The scientists have discovered that there is some animal inside guiding the tornado, they also have no clue how to destroy this creature because they could not get close enough to observe more. To make matters worse, people have spotted several other tornados heading from the same direction coming in faster than the first one. Our leader, Grannis, says that the power of the paladins will be able to hold off the tornados for at least 24 hours. People of Demora… prepare for a storm.” Just as the reporter had finished the power went out. A tree had uprooted itself and shot into the power generator by the tornado. This is when the heroes finally started paying attention. “Guys something is seriously wrong” Cyclone said. “The power going out isn’t that horrible Cyclone” Cindy replied. “That’s not what I was talking about!” Cyclone said changing into his suit. “I’m talking about the tornado… I mean we have to try and do something about it.” “Who says we can actually do something about it?” Bry replied. “Come on guys we weren’t blessed with these powers for no reason. Remember the elf? We’ve got to do this for the sake of the elf, for the sake of Demora and for the sake of the future! I know we don’t have a lot to go off of, but taking the effort to try and fix things will help us along the way… and eventually we will succeed. Who is with me?” “I!” Cindy Bry and Riku all shouted at once. So the heroes went to investigate regardless of what they didn’t know.

“I can probably get one of you closer by changing into rock.” Bry mumbled while squinting at the tornado. “Carry me in and I’ll think of something” Riku replied. She climbed into Bry's arms and was carried closer and closer to the tornado. When they got within 10 feet of it Bry could move no more. Riku put on goggles to protect her eyes from the wind. “I SEE…… A TURTLE!” she screamed so Bry could hear. She was right, she did see a turtle. It wasn’t like anything she had ever seen before though. The turtle was muscular and covered in large black spikes. The tornado seemed to be coming from its eyes, distorting the air around it. “LET’S GO BACK AND FIGURE OUT A PLAN!” Riku screamed curling back up in a defensive position in Bry’s arms. When Bry and Riku got back Riku told them all what exactly she saw. “Wow that sounds like one tuff turtle” Cyclone remarked. “How do we stop it?” “Ok here’s the plan… the wind came from his eyes leaving a small opening without wind near his bottom. I made a bomb at our new house that just might help us here. Ok Cyclone, you take this bomb and try to get it in that space. I assume you can run fast enough to get it under him without getting blown away. Cindy you get as close as you can and get ready to blast that thing with all you got… I don’t think my bomb will be enough, you’ll have to finish him off, Bry you get close also and make sure that bomb doesn’t go off on Cyclone” “got it!” Cindy Bry and Cyclone said in unison. Cyclone took the bomb and ran as fast as he could towards the turtle. He got within 2 feet before he could go no more. He reached out and managed to drop the bomb on the turtle. He then let himself fall back doing a flip while traveling 20 miles per hour in the air. *BOOM* the bomb had exploded, and it was a direct hit. The tornado stopped, and Cindy rushed in shooting fire at the capsized yet untouched turtle. Bry got closer to try and smash it but before he could get to it a glimmer of purple light streaked past him, almost hitting him. The light proceeded past his shoulder, hitting the shell, and shattering it into millions of tiny pieces. Cyclone came running up whizzing past Bry’s other shoulder. He drew his sword and chopped at the turtle’s unprotected body. The turtle exploded in a small puff of smoke. The smoke started swirling around the battle field. Some of the smoke went into each of the heroes, but the other smoke dispersed into the air.

“Good job team!” Riku said blowing the smoke off the end of a large laser rifle. “But there are two more tornadoes, and they are larger than this one… no doubt twice as deadly.” Cindy exclaimed. “Let’s go then” Bry said. “FOR DEMORA!” they shouted and started running to the second biggest tornado. When they arrived they could faintly make out a tiger. Its stripes were deep black and seemed to be emanating darkness. The heroes ran toward it expecting to be blown away, but the tornado suddenly stopped and the heroes were launched toward the tiger with extra force. Cyclone went so fast that he ran up to the tiger and tripped over it. The tiger growled and got ready to pounce, but before it could land its claws on Cyclone, it was knocked out of the air by the blunt side of Cindy’s sword. Cyclone quickly got his feet and drew his sword. But when he looked where the tiger had been, he saw nothing there. Riku felt a gust of air that slightly blew across her back. She drew her sword and swung backwards. The invisible tiger yelped, and ran. Part of its tail had been cut off, and it turned into a small puff of dark black smoke. “Com'er little tiger” Cyclone said. The tiger pounced Cyclone but only to meet a sword. The tiger fell to the ground in two pieces. It vanished into smoke having the same effect as it did with the turtle. “Two down one to go! FOR DEMORA” Cindy yelled as she started to charge. So the heroes went to the final tornado and tried to inspect what it was. “It’s empty…” Cyclone stuttered in disbelief. A trumpeting horn sounded behind them, and a elephant came from behind and rammed them into the tornado. After being battered around a bit, they passed the strong winds of the tornado and reached the eye. The elephant was inside as well, it had made the tornado larger to create a deadly battlefield. Cindy ran towards the elephant shooting fire, but the fire was reflected by the elephant’s tough hide. The elephant whacked Cindy away with its long black tucks and charged Bry. Bry reacted quickly by turning to rock and grabbing the tusks, holding it back for the other heroes to develop individual plans. Cyclone jumped on top of the elephant and started stabbing the elephant’s neck with his swords. The elephant cried in pained bucking Cyclone off and sending Bry flying, but before the elephant could get back to his normal battle stance a beam of purple light penetrated his stomach. The elephant collapsed to the ground right in front of Riku. She shot it again in the head and it exploded in a puff of dark smoke with the same effect as the turtle and the tiger. The tornado vanished only to reveal to the heroes a dark and demented land. They didn’t seem to be in Demora any more. They had some how ended up in a distant land that none of them knew. A dark frog hopped up to them and the heroes gathered around. “Thank you for saving the town of Demora and for destroying my worst enemy’s” it said. The four heroes looked at it in surprise “Now you must die!” the frog started to laugh manically. The smoke that had been absorbed by the heroes came out and went into the frog. It grew into a human about their size, still laughing. "Thank you for bringing my power back" the now deep voice said. The man was completely black with dark amour to match. The man drew a two handed sword and lashed out at Bry suddenly Bry’s swords shot out of their sheath’s and defended him. Bry was confused long enough for the dark man to come at him again and hit him with the blunt side of his sword. Bry and his swords fell to the ground. Cyclone rushed up and attacked the man with one sword, but was parried and hit with the two handed hilt. Cyclone fell to the ground and it was now up to just the girls. Riku drew her rifle and fired but had missed due to lack of aim; she too was knocked to the ground with the hilt. Cindy stared at the man drawing her swords. The man charged but Cindy easily dodged and sliced his back. The man growled in pain then charged again. Cindy was caught off guard and knocked to the ground. The man was about to finish her off when a fiery head came bursting through him. Cindy got back up and charged him. She ran up and took off his head, but his body still moved “What madness is this?” she exclaimed, backing up. The body charged her again, and she quickly found herself disarmed. Without control she raised both of her hands and said “DRAGON STRIKE!” a fiery ball in the shape of a dragon shot out of her hands. The man’s body was incinerated by the heat sending four colored orbs shooting out, and going into the heroes. After a minute the others got up and saw Cindy, arms still outstretched…

Ch 11: Twisted Land

A frigid breeze filled the air, only making survival harder for the four heroes. They were stranded in an unknown land, with no means of returning back to their beloved Demora. Giant stone walls bound them to a deep, dark grave. “Is there anyway out of here?” Cyclone asked. “Maybe, but it wont be easy,” Riku replied looking at Cindy’s sword. “Cindy, can your sword reach the top of these walls?” she asked. “It might… let me try” Cindy answered, picking up her sword. She pointed to the top of the great stone wall, aiming carefully. “Come on! It looks like night will fall shortly” Riku anxiously said. *Phsssssssssssint* the top of the blade barley made it up, and latched onto the top of the wall. “Now we can climb.” Bry, could you carry us up if you were in rock form?” “Can, and will!” He walked to the side gradually turning into rock. “Hop on!” He Exclaimed, Grabbing the blade. Cyclone and Riku hopped on to Bry’s back and he scaled the wall. Once they got up Cindy retracted her sword and soared up the wall.

“Finally were free!” Cyclone cheered. “Now let’s find some shelter for the night” Riku muttered, looking into off into the distance. Riku froze in amazement, shortly followed by the rest of the group. From their point they could see all of this strange land. Villages, Towns, Cities. Far away there stood a magnificently white castle, but it was shrouded in darkness. Along with the rest of the land, but the darkness seemed to be dispersing from the castle. “What kind of wicked land is this?” Riku remarked, staring at the darkness. “One we don’t want to be in… Let’s go to that city closest to us, and see if anyone can help us get back to Demora,” Said Bry. The heroes made their way down the rocky path slowly realizing where they stood. Black marble was in pieces, hiding the ground. “This must have been a castle.” Cindy said picking up a piece of the rock. “Looks like it once had belonged to an evil overlord. The castle must have been overthrown, along with its ruler.” “Look at all of this rubble! This castle must have been huge!” Bry said in amazement. “Common guys we have to get to town before sun down” Riku said already leaving them behind.
